Rado producing upcoming Dub Thompson album

Not Foxygen news per se, but of interest to fans: Jonathan Rado is producing the debut album for Dub Thompson:

The Dead Oceans┬ároster has revealed its latest addition, Dub Thompson, with the duo set to make their debut for the label this spring. The project’s first full-length, 9 Songs, hits retailers June 10.

A press release for the set notes that band members Matt Pulos and Evan Laffer recorded the set with Foxygen leader Jonathan Rado at a rented house in Bloomington, IN, and apparently the set is a bit of a genre-jumper. The album, oddly weighing in with only eight songs, is said to take influence from post-hardcore acts like Big Black, the krautrock sounds of Can and Kraftwerk, and the Fall.
